Key Responsibilities Pediatric Assisting: Patient Comfort: Welcome children and parents, explaining procedures in simple, kid-friendly terms to alleviate dental anxiety Procedures: Perform pediatric prophys, apply fluoride treatments, take high-quality digital radiographs (X-rays), and place sealants. Behavior Management: Utilize positive reinforcement and child-management techniques to ensure a safe, smooth appointment. General Clinical Duties: Sterilization: Sterilize instruments and disinfect treatment rooms strictly adhering to OSHA, CDC, and infection control guidelines Inventory: Keep clinical areas stocked and notify the Lead Assistant of inventory or equipment maintenance Be Part of Something Bigger!
