Permanent Dentist Job in Wheeling, IL
Overview Join our dental practice as a General Dentist and deliver thoughtful, evidence-informed care to patients across a range of ages and needs. Youâll assess oral health, explain treatment options clearly, and provide general dentistry services while maintaining accurate records and a safe clinical environment. Your impact: Careful assessment and clear communication help patients make informed decisions and receive appropriate treatment. Responsibilities Examine patients, take medical histories, perform patient assessments, and develop dental diagnoses and treatment plans. Provide general dentistry, including dental extractions and root canal therapy; coordinate care involving oral surgery, dental implants, prosthodontics, orthodontics, endodontics, anesthesiology, and pediatric dentistry as appropriate. Use medical imaging and dental terminology accurately; document care in medical records using systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix. Apply aseptic technique and infection control practices; follow HIPAA and applicable state healthcare regulations. Communicate with patients and clinical colleagues, including during four-handed dentistry, to support safe, coordinated patient care. Requirements Demonstrated knowledge of general dentistry, healthcare diagnosis, dental diagnosis, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical documentation. Ability to provide patient care and explain findings and treatment options with clear, respectful client communication. Familiarity with dental extractions, pediatric care, root canal therapy, and related procedures; experience with dental fabrication is a plus. Dental office or dental clinic experience is preferred. Experience with Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is also preferred. Knowledge of HIPAA, state healthcare regulations, infection control, and safe use of medical imaging. Pay: $80.00 - $100.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 â 20.0 per week Work Location: In person
