What is SmileCon?

SmileCon® is the American Dental Association’s reimagined annual meeting. It's three packed days of continuing education, hands-on learning, an expansive exhibit hall (“Dental Central”), and a full slate of community and networking events.

SmileCon® is where dental professions come together to

learn, connect, and celebrate dentistry.

When & Where

SmileCon® 2025 takes place October 23–25, 2025 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. Registration is open now.

Quick note: This year’s meeting is also the final SmileCon in its current format, as ADA transitions to new national meeting plans after 2025—one more reason not to miss it.

What to Expect at SmileCon

• Serious CE, many formats. Earn credits through lectures, hands-on activities, and interactive sessions designed for dentists, hygienists, assistants, office managers, and students.
• Dental Central (exhibit hall). Explore products, technology, and services from hundreds of companies, all in one place. (Open daily during the meeting.)
• High-energy community events. Highlights include the Opening Session on Thursday morning, the Changemakers Celebration (Friday midday), and the Friday Night Fest (Friday evening). Great for networking and team bonding.
• Travel & housing made easy. ADA offers special savings on hotels and travel for attendees.
