Dental Assistant

Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental X-rays
- Prepare and maintain dental supplies and equipment inventory
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain patient records
- Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring models and trimming plaster casts
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Take accurate patient medical history and vital signs

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assistant program or relevant work experience
- Current CPR certification
- Knowledge of Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or other dental practice management software
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical coding, and medical documentation
- Proficiency in taking and developing dental X-rays
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well with patients of all ages, including children (pediatrics)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health procedures

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour

Schedule:

• Every weekend
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Fremont, CA 94538: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• X-Ray Certification (Preferred)
