We're looking for a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental/medical practice 1-2 days a week! Must work well with a team, as well as independently.

We are an outpatient facility that specializes in treating patients that cannot be treated in a traditional dental office setting such as phobic, PTSD, developmentally disabled, special needs, etc, Dr. Toal offers oral sedation, IV, and General Anesthesia with a Board Certified MD Anesthesiologist to comprehensively treat patients. 

Brief Job Description:

• Update list of current physicians, medications, and health history
• Hygiene Recall (prophy, perio maintenance, SRP with and without use of oral sedative, N2O, or IV/GA, Sedation)
• Post op visits including: Occllusal check, OHI, Fluoride or whiteningtray delivery, NG delivery, 

Delivery of local anesthetic to patient

Dental Hygienist Duties & Responsibilities

• Talk to patients and make sure they feel comfortable 
• Clean dental instruments to ensure everything is sterilized properly 
• Perform preliminary dental examintions
• Look for signs of gum disease, infections, or cavities
• Remove plaque and apply fluoride or other sealants to prevent cavities and tooth decay
• Explain good oral hgiene techniques to patients of all ages
• Provide post-operative health education to patients 
• Take x-ray images of the patients teeth 
• Work with dentists to decided the best form of treatmnet for a variety of dental disease
• Keep detailed records of each patient's visit and update their health history 

Dental Hygienist Requirements 

• Bachelor's degreee or master's degree in registered dental hygiene program preferred, associate's degree required.
• At least 1-2 years of expperience in dental hygiene 
• Has dental hygienist licensure in the state where the job is located 
• Current CPR certification
• Understands HIPAA regulations and all dentirtry  safety guidelines
• Able to stand up for long periods of time to administer dental exams and procedures
• Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills, and customer service skills
