OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional patient care within our dental clinic. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, ensuring a comfortable and informative experience for our patients. This role is essential in supporting the overall health and wellness of our patients through effective oral hygiene practices.
Responsibilities

Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar.
Conduct patient assessments, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical histories.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
Collaborate with dentists in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry practices to ensure comprehensive care.
Document patient treatments and progress accurately in dental records.
Maintain equipment and instruments, ensuring they are clean and ready for use.
Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.

Qualifications

Proven experience working in a dental office or clinic setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and dental procedures.
Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Proficient understanding of dental terminology and patient care protocols.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, providing reassurance and education regarding their oral health.
A commitment to maintaining high standards of aseptic technique throughout all procedures.
Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist is required.
