This position is part time and may turn into full time depending on availability and experience for the right candidate.We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires proficiency in various dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following infection control protocols.
Take and develop X-rays as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and assist with administrative tasks as needed, including reception duties.
Ensure the dental office is organized, clean, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
Collaborate with team members to provide exceptional patient care in various specialties such as pediatrics and prosthodontics.

Experience

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Familiarity with medical terminology, aseptic techniques, infection control practices, and dental software such as Open Dental is advantageous.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
