OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. As a Dental Assistant, you will work closely with dentists and other healthcare professionals to assist in various dental procedures, maintain patient records, and support the overall patient experience.
Responsibilities

Assist dentists during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
Take medical imaging, including X-rays, while adhering to safety standards.
Document medical histories and maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Record vital signs and assist in patient assessments as needed.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and maintain organized patient records using Dentrix or Eaglesoft software.
Ensure the dental office is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.

Experience

Proficiency in medical terminology, dental terminology, and anatomy knowledge is essential.
Familiarity with medical documentation practices and HIPAA regulations is required.
Experience with Dentrix or Eaglesoft software is preferred but not mandatory.
Prior experience in a dental assistant role or relevant clinical setting is a plus but not required for entry-level candidates willing to learn.
