Dental Assistant needed in our dental office

Our outstanding dental practice is seeking an exceptional Dental Assistant for an opportunity to join our dedicated team.

Who We're Looking For

The candidate must possess the following: excellent customer service, ability to work in a fast paced environment, ability to multi-task and have a positive attitude. The candidate must be able to take x-rays.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients when they sign it and monitor arrival time
• Set-up treatment rooms for procedures
• Escort and seat patients to treatment rooms
• Show care and concern, and help patients feel comfortable
• Obtain and review health histories according to office protocol
• Ensure patients are always attended
• Anticipate and assist dentist's needs
• Perform expanded functions, other tasks assigned by the dentist
• Perform clinical procedures as practice act allows and as directed by the dentist
• Monitor office flow
• Mix dental materials
• Ensure patients' questions are answered thoroughly before they leave
• Chart patients and record date, service rended and any charges
• Give patient instruction and demonstrate when necessary
• Escort patients from the treatment room
• Disinfect and oversee cleanliness  of the treatment rooms according to OSHA
• Keep dental units ready, stocked and clean
•  Maintain dental office emergency kits and oxygen tanks
• Monitor patient flow
