Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. You will work closely with the dental team to promote oral health and educate patients on proper hygiene practices. This role requires a strong understanding of general dentistry, patient assessment, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, utilizing aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
Assess patients' oral health by taking vital signs and conducting comprehensive patient assessments.
Document and review medical records accurately, ensuring all information is up-to-date and compliant with HIPAA standards.
Provide education to patients regarding oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options.
Assist in medical imaging procedures as needed, ensuring proper protocols are followed.
Collaborate with dentists in the diagnosis and treatment planning for pediatric patients as well as adults.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Proficient in general dentistry practices and procedures.
Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control measures.
Experience with medical records management and documentation review is preferred.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
