We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our periodontal team three days a week, possibly expanding to five days per week. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing periodontal maintenances, scaling and root planning and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. This role requires the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Perform thorough periodontal maintenances, including scaling and root planning.
Conduct assessments and provide patient education on oral hygiene and preventive care.
Assist in maintaining patient records and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Collaborate with the team to provide exceptional patient care and enhance treatment outcomes.

Qualifications:To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Requirements:Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene schoolActive and unrestricted Dental Hygienist license in the State of Ohio2+ years of Dental Hygienist experienceAvailable to work a Wednesday-Friday schedule (7am-4pm)
EXPERIENCE/DESIRED SET OF SKILLS:

Perform periodontal maintenance, scaling and root planning procedures.
Conduct comprehensive oral assessments and evaluate medical histories.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques.
Conduct thorough dental assessments and oral cancer screenings periodontal disease, occlusal trauma, oral pathology and caries.
Assist dentists and other team members in various dental procedures.
Maintain accurate patient records.
Communicate patient care with referral practices (periodontal therapy reports).
Uphold infection control and sterilization OSHA protocols.
