OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional patient care in a dynamic dental clinic environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in general dentistry practices and be proficient in various dental procedures. This role is essential for ensuring smooth operations within the clinic, assisting the dentist, and delivering quality service to our patients.
Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable experience for patients.
Take and record vital signs of patients prior to treatment.
Perform medical imaging tasks, including X-rays, while adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain an organized and sterile environment by following aseptic techniques.
Manage patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary equipment.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
Support pediatric dentistry procedures with a gentle approach tailored for younger patients.
Assist in endodontic procedures as needed, demonstrating knowledge of specialized techniques.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient clinic operations and high-quality patient care.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role within a dental clinic setting.
Familiarity with general dentistry practices and procedures.
Knowledge of medical coding systems related to dental services is preferred.
Ability to perform medical imaging tasks accurately and safely.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality.
Proficiency in aseptic techniques to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages, including children.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Certification as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; relevant training will be provided.
