Registered Dental Hygienistâ Myofunctional Therapy Position
Position Title: Myofunctional Therapy Assistant/Consultant
About Us:We are a dynamic and growing practice dedicated to providing comprehensive care to our clients, focusing on jaw and airway development for children through specialized myofunctional therapy programs. Our team works collaboratively to treat a wide range of conditions associated with jaw and airway development (RDH) to join our team and specialize in myofunctional therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments for patients with myofunctional disorders, including issues with breathing, swallowing, and tongue posture.
Develop individualized therapy plans based on patient needs and goals, in collaboration with other healthcare providers when necessary.
Enroll clients into the centers myofunctional therapy programs.
Provide myofunctional therapy to children and occasionally adults, teaching techniques to improve tongue posture, strengthen oral muscles, and enhance oral function.
Educate patients and their families on exercises, strategies, and lifestyle modifications for improving oral and facial muscle function.
Monitor and track patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with professional and legal standards.
Participate in ongoing professional development to stay updated with the latest research and techniques in myofunctional therapy.
Qualifications:
RDH degree from an accredited institution.
Valid state licensure as a RDH.
Certification in Myofunctional Therapy or a willingness to pursue specialized training (company supported).
Experience in myofunctional therapy, or a strong interest in working with patients to address jaw and airway development in children.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and team members.
Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
