Dental Assistant RDA/CDA - Davidson Family Dentistry - Urbandale, IA

Davidson Family Dentistry in Urbandale is looking to hire another exceptional experienced dental assistant in a busy five doctor practice. This position would be full time, for approximately 36-39 hours per week.
The dental assistant is a skilled member of the dental team and is an integral part of providing quality healthcare to patients. As a dental assistant in our office you will have a wide variety of skills and knowledge including :- Assisting dentists during operative procedures, consultations and exams.- Sterilize and prepare instruments, follow infection control and OSHA practices.- Perform child prophys- Digitally scan and manufacture CEREC crowns, implant crowns and onlays.- Take impressions (traditional and digital), digital X-rays, CBCT scans and intra oral photos.
- Use a 3D printer to print occlusal guards and models.- Provide oral hygiene instructions and preventive dentistry counseling.-Perform lab work including but not limited to: pouring stone models, fabricate night guards, whitening trays, essix retainers, and custom impression trays.
Successful candidates are:- Registered or Certified dental assistants- X-Ray Certified (Dexis)- N20 Certified (Dr. David Davidson teaches level I expanded functions if you are not currently certified)- Computer literate (XL Dent)
