We’re looking for a skilled Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) to join our team and help us maintain our high standard of care. Position Overview: The Expanded Duties Dental Assistant will support our dentists and dental team by assisting in a variety of clinical procedures, preparing patients for treatments, and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. The ideal candidate will have experience in the dental field and hold a valid Expanded Duties Dental Assistant certification.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, preventive, and surgical procedures
Perform expanded duties such as placing dental sealants, taking X-rays, assisting with fillings, crowns, and other restorative treatments
Sterilize and prepare instruments and equipment
Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-procedure care
Maintain accurate patient records
Manage patient flow and ensure efficient office operations
Handle administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and updating patient files, as needed

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Certification as an Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) in Kentucky
At least 3 years of experience as a dental assistant (preferred)
Knowledge of dental software and office equipment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented and compassionate with patient care
