Dental Hygienist - Waveland Dental Center - Waveland, MS

Waveland Dental Center is seeking an experienced and compassionate full-time dental hygienist with at least one year of experience. As a dental hygienist, you should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible.
The primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

Seating and preparing patients for procedures
Collecting, reviewing and recording medical and dental histories and patient vital signs
Give patients proper oral hygiene instructions based of their specific needs
Periodontal probing
Taking radiographs using digital radiography (Dexis)
Perform child and adult dental prophylaxis and periodontal maintenance
Perform scaling and root planing
Entering treatment plans and treatment notes
Stocking and sterilizing operatory and assisting with lab sterilization and maintenance

Requirements and skills required for this position:

Proven experience as a dental hygienist
Dentrix and Dexis knowledge
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Understanding of health & safety regulations
Ability to perform hygiene procedures
Excellent communication and people skills
Attention to detail
Well-organized and reliable
Radiology license
Registered Dental Hygienist License
CPR certification

*Office Hours: Monday thru Thurs 8:00 - 5:00, some Fridays 8:00 - 12:00
