Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice by managing front office tasks and providing exceptional customer service to our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and medical administrative support, as well as proficiency in scheduling appointments and handling patient records.
Responsibilities- Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in and check-out process.- Schedule and confirm patient appointments using medical scheduling systems.- Maintain accurate patient records, including documentation review and updates.- Verify insurance coverage and handle insurance verification processes efficiently.- Assist with coding for dental procedures as needed.- Manage incoming calls, emails, and inquiries with professionalism.- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow throughout the office.- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining medical records.- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in medical office management.
Skills- Proficient in medical administrative support with experience in a dental or medical office setting.- Familiarity with coding practices related to dental procedures is preferred.- Strong knowledge of dental terminology to effectively communicate with patients and staff.- Experience with electronic health record systems, particularly Epic or similar platforms.- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation review.- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and team members.- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
