Registered Dental Hygienist - Boulevard Dental - Palmdale, CA

Responsibilities:- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth- Take and develop dental x-rays- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide personalized oral care instructions- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history review and oral cancer screenings- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed- Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a sterile field using aseptic techniques- Utilize dental software (Eaglesoft, CAD) to accurately document patient information and treatment plans- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:- Valid state dental hygiene license- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program- Proficient in using dental software (Eaglesoft, CAD) for patient management and treatment planning- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health conditions, and systemic diseases affecting oral health- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral hygiene practices- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals- Familiarity with medical coding (CPT, ICD) for accurate billing and insurance claims submission is a plus- Experience with electronic health record systems (Epic) is preferred
