OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties

Assist the dentist during various procedures, including but not limited to endodontics and general dentistry.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring it is clean and organized.
Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
Record vital signs and maintain accurate medical records for each patient.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional care, especially when working with pediatric patients.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Knowledge of anatomy related to dental health is essential.
Familiarity with Dentrix software is advantageous.
Strong understanding of infection control practices within a dental setting.
Ability to assist in various dental procedures, including endodontics.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred.
A commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of dentistry.
