OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the office while providing exceptional care to our patients. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organized environment.
Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
Take and develop dental X-rays in accordance with safety protocols.
Record vital signs and maintain accurate medical records for each patient.
Ensure proper infection control practices are followed in the treatment area.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
Maintain dental equipment and ensure all tools are sterilized and ready for use.
Utilize Eaglesoft systems for patient management and record keeping.
Stay current with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology to effectively communicate with patients and staff.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is required.
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical records management is essential.
Familiarity with open dental or similar dental management software is a plus.
Ability to take vital signs accurately and efficiently.
Strong communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Must be a team player who can work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
