Job Overview Reliable Dental Assistant with X-ray license to work flexible hours in Somerville General Dental office. Part-time hours. 6-16 hours. Need at least 2 days available on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday. No weekends. No Fridays. Support our established practice in providing high-quality treatments, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining efficient dental office operations. Your role is vital in helping patients feel cared for and confident in their dental experience. Duties Prepare treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, setup/breakdown operatories, maintain rooms & supplies, follow infection control protocols. Assist dentist chairside during a variety of general dental procedures and maintaining patient records. Take X-rays using advanced imaging digital technology, ensuring accurate positioning and patient safety. Requirement: Active NJ X-ray License support comprehensive patient care, comfort and patient education. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating files, recording documents, verifying insurance and answering phone. Assist with basic housekeeping and office cleanliness. Qualifications Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant Proficiency in EHR systems is highly desirable. Understanding of HIPAA regulations. Skilled in taking quality digital intraoral X-rays with knowledge of radiation safety protocols. Knowledge aseptic techniques essential for safe clinical practice. Excellent communication skills Certification in NJ dental radiology and CPR is required. Additional professional certification is welcome.
