Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations and x-rays.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following infection control protocols.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Assist with appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups using OpenDental or similar systems.
Perform basic administrative tasks such as filing, answering phones, and processing patient information.

Requirements

Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred.
Our most important expectation is being friendly, a hardworker, team-player, and being willing to learn!
Knowledge of infection control procedures and aseptic techniques is essential.
Proficiency in using dental software systems such as OpenDental, Dentrix, or Epic for patient management.
Strong understanding of anatomy related to dental health and medical coding practices.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is highly desirable.
