OverviewSeeking a Dental Assistant to join our boutique dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing excellent patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, documentation, and the ability to assist in various procedures while maintaining a professional and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Take digital dental X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.
Utilize Eaglesoft Software for patient charting.
Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of dental instruments and workspaces following aseptic techniques.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
Manage inventory of dental supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient experiences.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with a strong understanding of dental terminology.
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus.
Experience using EagleSoft or similar electronic health record systems is desirable.
Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate approach to patient care.
Certification in radiology.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
