Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques.
Maintain accurate medical records and patient charts, documenting treatments and procedures.
Educate patients and their guardians on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage patient flow within the clinic, ensuring timely appointments and minimal wait times.
Perform basic dental procedures such as taking X-rays and applying fluoride treatments.
Support the front desk with administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing patient inquiries.

Skills

Proficient in dental assisting with hands-on experience in a clinical setting.
Knowledge of anatomy relevant to pediatric dentistry.
Familiarity with medical records management systems.
Understanding of endodontics and other dental specialties as they relate to children's care.
Experience in a dental clinic environment, providing direct support to dentists.
Ability to perform medical imaging procedures safely and effectively.
Strong communication skills for interacting with children and their families.
Competence in maintaining an organized, clean, and safe work environment using aseptic techniques.
