OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic biological dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and be proficient in various dental hygiene practices. This role is essential in providing high-quality dental services, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining the overall health of our patients' teeth and gums.
Duties

Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
Must Sharpen and maintain all perio instruments in optimal condition.
Licensed to and can administer Local Anesthetics
Takes accurate Periapical and BW radiographs, complete series, and Panoramic films. Willing to learn CBCT technology
Review patient documentation and medical history to ensure comprehensive care.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.
Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Collaborate with biological dentists and other dental professionals to provide optimal patient care.
Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and progress within the dental office system Open Dental.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and safety regulations within the clinic.

Qualifications

Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred, with knowledge of general dentistry practices.
Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy knowledge relevant to oral health.
Strong skills in documentation review and maintaining patient records accurately.
Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and team members.
Ability to assist in various tasks as needed within the dental office environment.
