Full-Parttime dental hygienist – Job Description About Us: Founded in 1970 as South Philadelphia Health Action and later incorporated as Greater Philadelphia Health Action (GPHA), we are a non-profit healthcare organization dedicated to providing compassionate, affordable healthcare regardless of ability to pay. Position: Full-Part Time Dental Hygienist Must have an active Pennsylvania Hygienist license. Flexible work hours totaling a minimum of 37.5 hours/week, Monday through Friday, excluding lunch. Hours may be adjusted to meet departmental needs. Dental hygienists are expected to cover at least 2 sites. Option for a 4-day (32-hour) work week, which qualifies for full-time benefits. Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive services in both ambulatory and inpatient settings (if applicable): well patient care, diagnosis and treatment of acute conditions, long-term management of chronic oral disease. Perform standard general dental hygiene procedures including: dental hygiene assessment, diagnosis, full-mouth debridement, oral cancer screening, oral prophylaxis, periodontal management, SRP, intraoral camera use. Maintain CPR, Radiation, and Health & Safety compliance. Travel between sites and attend designated meetings at the administrative office. Promote GPHA’s vision and mission to staff, patients, and the public.
