Dental Assistant - up to 30hr - Dr. James P. Fitzgerald DMD - Somers, CT

We are a family practice with a single doctor. Looking for a reliable dental assistant to join our family. The right candidate would be good at multi-tasking and has a wonderful bed side manner toward our patient population. Good communication is key to any great team player. Our hours are currently Monday 8-5, Tuesday 8-5, and Thursday 8-5. There is a possibility to pick up more hours as we become busy with patient cases but not mandatory. Responsibilities:- Assist the dentist during dental procedures- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments- Take dental x-rays- Perform dental charting and record medical documentation- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care- Assist with dental lab tasks, including preparing models
Qualifications:- Dental Assistant Certification or relevant experience- Knowledge of Softdent a plus but can be trained- Experience working in a dental practice for a minimum of 1 year but willing to train right candidate- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills- Ability to effectively communicate with patients of all ages- Proficiency in using computers
