We have the job for you! KIDS DENTAL BRANDS is offering a full-time opportunity as an Expanded Function Dental Assistant at our CUYAHOGA office. We are an upbeat team looking for an individual who has a passion for helping others and wants to make a positive difference in their community.
Certifications: CDA or RDA required, X-RAY and Coronal Polishing certification required, EFDA course completion (as mandated per state requirements)
Experience: 1+ years in a dental office
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: MONDAY-FRIDAY
Pay: Starting at $28.00
Monthly Bonus: up to $300 additional per month

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Assist office managers in supporting and supervising back-office employees
Work chair-side with dentists, perform patient care, and general laboratory duties
Take and process dental radiographs (x-rays)
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
Take impressions of the patient's teeth (models), extractions, composite fillings, etc...
Teach patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling)
Ask about the patient's medical history and take blood pressure and pulse
Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment
Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
