Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. This position requires a strong understanding of dental anatomy, infection control protocols, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments including medical history and vital signs.
Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planning as needed.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.
Assist the dentist during procedures as needed, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques.
Maintain accurate patient records using Eagle, Practice Web Dental or similar dental software.
Implement infection control procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Provide support in pediatric dentistry as required.
Collaborate with the dental team to improve overall patient experience.
Requirements
Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of Texas
Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and infection control practices.
Experience with medical coding is a plus.
Familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar dental management software is preferred.
Previous experience in dental assisting is advantageous.
Ability to perform patient assessments and take vital signs effectively.
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 27 â 40 per week
