Infinity Dental Specialists serves all ages of patients to correct the alignment of teeth and jaws, place dental implants, perform corrective plastic periodontal surgery, regenerate gum and bone loss and lengthen crowns to correct deformed smiles. It's true that we use state-of-the art equipment and cutting edge techniques to achieve the finest dental results possible. We seek full or part-time Orthodontic Assistants for our Glen Mills, PA location starting immediately. These positions report directly to the Clinical Manager and will undergo full systems and procedures training through hands-on instruction and shadowing.
Job Requirements
The Orthodontic Assistant provides support to the office and is responsible for assisting the professional dental staff with treatment delivery and patient management.
This includes:
- Delivering quality and compassionate care to every patient- Guiding parents and patients through Infinity's process before and during treatment- Educating patients in oral hygiene and postoperative maintenance- Preparing patients for examination and treatment- Taking x-rays and managing patient records- Operational readiness of the hygiene bay and operatory rooms- Tray set-ups for orthodontic and periodontal dental procedures- Preparing impression materials- Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and equipment- Cleaning chairs and rooms- Assisting doctors with treatment- Documenting patient information, treatment plans and procedures in patient chart- Changing orthodontic wires and assist in bending and bonding orthodontic appliances- Suctioning, holding retractors and suture cutting during surgical procedures- Pouring, trimming and polishing impression casts- Taking digital intra oral scans
Ideal Candidate
- Minimum one year experience as an orthodontic assistant. Experience assisting with periodontics and dental implants is a plus.- X-ray certification and certified dental assistant credentials will set you apart from other candidates.- CPR certification is required.- Since we are a paperless practice, you should be comfortable with computers (specifically Apple). We understand we use niche software, but if you have experience with Wave, that is a plus.- It's not uncommon for patients to be a little nervous. That's why we need engaging and compassionate communicators. Since this is a service business, we also want you to be sympathetic to patients who need a reassuring and a calming voice.- Because with work with children, you must successfully pass a basic background check, which covers work history, education and criminal record.

- Starting pay rate between $18 and $25 per hour commensurate with experience, with opportunities for performance increases.- 40 hours of paid personal time off per year, to use however you wish.
