Dental Hygienist needed in our Scottsdale, AZ dental office

Seeking a Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality Patient care, focusing on preventive and therapeutic services. You will play a key role in educating

Patients about oral health, conducting thorough dental cleanings, and assisting in diagnosing and treating oral conditions. Our practice prioritizes patient comfort, education, and long-term oral health, and we are looking for a hygienist who shares these values.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Treatment

-Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and root planing to remove plaque, tartar, and stains.

-Conduct periodontal assessments, measure pocket depths, and evaluate gum health.

-Apply fluoride treatments and sealants to strengthen enamel and prevent cavities.

-Take and review dental X-rays to assist in diagnosing oral health conditions.

-Assess and document changes in Patient oral health and communicate findings to the dentist.

-Recognize signs of oral diseases, including cavities, gingivitis, and periodontal disease, and recommend appropriate treatments.

-Provide individualized Patient education on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and nutrition for optimal oral health.

-Offer guidance on managing oral health conditions such as dry mouth, sensitivity, or gum disease.

Patient Experience & Comfort

-Ensure a positive and stress-free experience for all Patients, including those with dental anxiety.

-Build trusting relationships with Patients by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and making personalized recommendations.

-Use gentle techniques and modern tools to enhance Patient comfort during treatments.

-Maintain Patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Clinical Support & Safety

-Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed.

-Follow strict infection control and sterilization protocols to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.

-Maintain accurate and up-to-date Patient records, documenting treatment plans and progress.

-Stay informed on the latest advancements in dental hygiene, equipment, and best practices.

Qualifications & Skills

-Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.

-Valid state licensure and certification as a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH).

-Strong knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and infection control standards.

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.

-Ability to work collaboratively with a dental team while also managing independent tasks.

-Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and time management.
