Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental assisting practices, infection control protocols, and effective communication skills to ensure a smooth workflow in the clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Support:
Assist dentists during various procedures, including fillings, extractions, and cleanings.
Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments and materials are ready.
Sterilize and organize dental instruments and equipment.
Take and develop dental X-rays.
Provide patients with oral hygiene instructions and post-operative care advice.
Mix dental materials as needed for procedures.
Maintain detailed patient records and manage appointment scheduling.
Perform office management tasks, such as scheduling and confirming appointments.
Infection Control & Safety:
Adhere to strict infection control protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ensure proper sterilization of instruments and cleanliness of treatment areas.
Manage clinical waste and sharps disposal according to safety guidelines.
Administrative Duties:
Complete patient intake paperwork and update medical histories.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
Handle billing and insurance claims.
Maintain accurate and organized patient records.
Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited dental assisting program.
Current RDA certification/licensure as required by state regulations.
Proficiency in dental radiography and familiarity with dental software systems.
Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with digital radiography and electronic health records (EHR).
Minimum 3+ years of RDA experience is required.
Bilingual abilities, depending on the patient population served.
Additional certifications in areas such as coronal polishing or sealant application.

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
