Dental Assistant - Catoctin Dental - Thurmont, MD

DENTAL ASSISTANT – Available Immediately, Monday- Thursday, 8am-4:30pm.
Catoctin Dental is looking for a new team member to join our clinical staff! Full time is preferred, but 2 days a week is minimum. Benefits for full time staff include paid time off and vacation, paid holidays, and employer contributions to 401k. We are a general dentistry office located in Thurmont, Maryland. We strive to provide our patients with excellent service and individualized care in a family-friendly, small town environment. We are seeking someone to join our clinical team who holds those same values and wants to help treat our patients compassionately. The ideal candidate will be friendly, outgoing, and excellent with keeping doctors and hygienists on schedule. Responsibilities:

Chairside assisting during all aspects of general dentistry including restorative, crown and bridge, endodontics, extractions, dentures, implant procedures, emergency visits, etc.
Seating and walking out patients
Cleaning, sterilizing, and stocking instruments and supplies
Collecting medical histories, taking patient blood pressure
Turning over rooms and setting up instruments for the next procedure
Logging, packing, and tracking laboratory cases
Exposing x-rays including intraoral, panoramic, and CBCT
Reviewing post op instructions
Fabricating temporary crowns and packing retraction cord
Taking intraoral photos, impressions, and digital scans
Charting and notation in Eaglesoft software
Making appointments, answering patient questions, making follow-up calls
Assist with front desk duties as needed
Working as part of a team to keep the office running smoothly and efficiently
Maintaining long-term patient relationships and building new ones

Qualifications: Valid CPR and Dental Radiation Technologist license, with CDA, QDA, or EFDA preferred
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
