Dental Hygienist - Newaygo Family Dental Care - Newaygo, MI

We are looking for an outgoing, organized, and detail-oriented experienced dental hygienist to join our team!
This position is Mon-Thurs with at one Friday a month. You will be joining an outstanding team that works hard but knows how to have fun! One afternoon per quarter, the offices closes for a fun afternoon of shenanigans together.
Key qualities the right candidate must possess:
-Infectious Laughter. Sorry, we can't budge on this one. You need to know how to laugh with us and even at yourself from time to time
-Go-Getter! We are fast-paced and need a forward-thinking, self-starter that keeps the flow of the office and patients moving along!
-Speak fluent sarcasm... not to the patients of course, unless they start in first then it's a free game, but most certainly with your team.
-Dependable. You're part of a team for a reason.. the football game isn't going to go well without a quarterback. This goes for our practice. One man down can really affect everyone and place the entire team spreading thin.
-We are very ok with pranks on the rest of the team if you have a sense of humor. Dr. Ross needs to be kept on his toes!
-Top-Notch customer service. We have a great group of patients, team members, and all vendors we deal with but from time to time, there will be someone not so happy. We need calm reasoning to diffuse while also following in line with our core beliefs, office policies, and patient care protocol.
-Tech Savvy. This is an office that LOVES technology and any advancement we can make for a more productive and efficient patient experience and day-to-day workflow. You name it in Dental Technology, either we already have it or there is a plan in place to get it!
Alright, now onto the usual details.
We are a progressive and forward thinking dental practice that believes in prevention as our first line of defense for a whole health approach to dentistry. We have a strong but ethical periodontal care model that believes in education and compassion to achieve results and keeping patients on their enhanced and customized care plan. Our hygienist are excellent with co-diagnosis as our doctor truly believes in their capabilities to identify concerns and educate the patient before the exam. Those without this experience will be provided training and coaching to build their skills and confidence in this area.
Our practice is open Mon-Thurs with one Friday a month. We participate in huddles every morning and need our team present by 7:45 am.
All team members chip in where needed! Remember, we are a team! So although it is not what you are exclusively being hired for, we do want you to be able to help the administrators, assistant team and sterilization when you have no patients. Our team participates in continuing education regardless of a license or registration so that we can all grow and learn from one another. This may mean we ask that you attend an evening or weekend course with notice.
We have huddle every morning that each team member is to be present for which means we ask that auditing of your schedule be prepared the day prior. Our leadership believes in communication for practice proficiency and efficiency so we have consistent department meetings once a month. These meetings are mandatory but you get paid while attending. Keeping a consistent rotation of meetings and communication within departments grows the team to be stronger and more connected with one another; your voice truly matters!
