Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled EFDA to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support our dental team in providing exceptional patient care while ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. This role requires proficiency in various dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of dental terminology and practices.
Duties
Providing chairside assistance during dental procedures.
Placing and contouring dental fillings.
Taking and pouring dental impressions.
Applying sealants and fluoride as directed by the dentist.
Polishing teeth and removing excess cement from crowns or bridges.
Educating patients on oral health care and post-procedure care.
Managing inventory and ordering dental supplies.
Sterilizing and maintaining dental instruments and equipment.
Recording patient medical histories and dental treatments.
Assisting with dental radiography when required
Requirements
Certification as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant.
Previous experience working as a dental assistant.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in dental software and radiography.
Demonstrated attention to detail in clinical settings.
Completion of an accredited dental assistant program.
Valid EFDA certification from the relevant state board.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Understanding of dental terminology and procedures.
Knowledge of infection control and sterilization practices.
Proficiency in handling dental instruments and technology.

Pay: $35.00 - $39.00 per hour
