Lead Dental Assistant - Endodontics of West Chester - West Chester, PA

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join the Endodontics of West Chester team. This practice is limited solely to endodontics and opening in December of 2024. The practice is growing quickly and this full-time assistant position has a lot of room for customization. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic while providing exceptional patient care. This position involves assisting the endodontist during procedures, managing electronic patient records and radiographs, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. A strong understanding of dental assisting, stocking/ordering, and sterilization is essential for success in this role.
Duties

Assist the dentist during evaluations and procedures, ensuring all necessary tools and materials are readily available.
Perform radiographic imaging and utilize CBCT scanner to capture diagnostic images.
Maintain accurate electronic dental records and documentation in compliance with Endodontics of West Chester and PA state protocols.
Prepare treatment operatories by running an efficient sterilization center and ensuring all equipment and tools are ready for use and in good working order.
Educate patients on post-treatment care.
Manage patient flow within the office, including being willing and able to squeeze in emergencies.
Stocking and maintaining supply lists to assist in ordering of materials.
Uphold aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Collaborate with the rest of the Endodontics of West Chester team to empower smiles through advanced endodontics.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Proficient knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
Familiarity with electronic health documentation systems is advantageous, and understanding HIPPA requirements is a must.
DANB Certificate or state radiology license is a requirement.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment while demonstrating excellent communication skills.
Commitment to upholding all OSHA aseptic techniques and best practices in patient care.
