Job Title: Lead Front Office Coordinator
Position Type: Full-time
Work Hours:
- 40 hours per week
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- In-person
We’re looking for a Lead Dental Front Office Coordinator who’s passionate about patient care and brings a high level of professionalism, organization, and communication to our dental practice.
Key Responsibilities:

Patient Communication & Coordination

Clearly explain dental terminology, procedures, and treatment plans to patients.

Serve as the main point of contact, ensuring patients feel informed, comfortable, and cared for throughout their dental journey.

Confirm appointments and follow up post-treatment to address any questions or concerns.

Insurance & Financial Management
-
Manage HMO, PPO, and Denti-Cal insurance plans.

Proactively contact insurance providers for detailed benefits, copay information, and treatment breakdowns.

Accurately verify insurance eligibility and ensure benefits are optimized for each patient.

Discuss financial options and treatment costs with patients before confirming appointments.

Prepare and submit necessary pre-treatment authorization documents to insurance provider.

Follow up on pending treatment approvals with respective insurance providers to minimize delays.

Treatment Planning & Presentation

Create treatment plans in Open Dental based on insurance coverage.

Present cases effectively to patients, emphasizing the importance and value of recommended care.

Administrative & Office Management

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in Open Dental.

Coordinate and schedule appointments for maximum efficiency and productivity.

Work closely with the clinical team to ensure smooth daily operations and seamless patient flow.

Implement contingency planning to reduce schedule gaps due to cancellations, ensuring optimal provider productivity.

Qualifications:

Proficiency in Open Dental practice management software.

Strong understanding of dental insurance plans and billing practices.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience in case presentation and treatment coordination.

Ability to multitask and maintain a calm, professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a dental office setting, specifically in a treatment coordination or similar role.
- Strong understanding of dental procedures, terminology, and patient care processes and HMO, PPO, Medi-cal.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive patient data with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
- Medical terminology: 1 year (Required)
- Computer skills: 1 year (Required)
