Registered Dental Hygienist - Flossed Family Dentistry - San Tan Valley, AZ

Our family dental practice is seeking an exceptional Registered Dental Hygienist for an opportunity to join our dedicated and caring team.

This is a private practice owned and operated by the Dentist. We seek to provide dental care in a kind and understanding environment to help our patients achieve the oral health they need and seek.
This Registered Dental Hygienist will be an integral part of our team and will work closely with the Dentist to provide unified experiences to our patients at every stage of their care. We have a great team that enjoys working together towards our common goals. You will need to be comfortable talking with and interacting with patients of all walks of life and with our team. We are looking for a hygienist that is available to work a minimum of 2-3 days per week with the interest in growing that to 4 days over the next 6-12 months. We will consider part-time candidates as well for the right person and fit!

Welcome and establish a relationship of trust with patients and build and maintain that relationship throughout their care with us.
Maintain a schedule of 7-11 ppd on average depending on the type of care being delivered. (NP, SRP, Prophy, etc..)
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and high standards of care.
Take high quality radiographs and intraoral photos
Record oral health and periodontal findings accurately
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with medical coding as required.
Work together well with the doctor and partner to determine the best course of action for each patient
Provide excellent quality care in all aspects of cleaning, debridement and maintenance and examinations for patients of all ages.
Provide patient education and recommend home treatment plans to enhance patient compliance and involvement in their care
Discuss patient treatment needs in a clear, informative and compassionate way while emphasizing the importance of following through with their oral health needs.
Safely and accurately deliver local anesthesia
Nitrous Oxide certification
Able to identify existing restorations and recognize oral health needs
Perform sealants
Work together with the team to keep a clean and functional environment.
Maintain all certifications, BLS and licensure
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technology.
Familiarity with Dentrix a plus.
Experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory.

Requirements

Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice.
Strong knowledge of general and pediatric dentistry practices.
Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Ability to take vital signs and understand their implications for patient care.
Proficient in medical coding related to dental procedures is a plus.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $46.88 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 32 per week
Schedule:
