We're currently looking for a Dental Assistant or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our team!
OverviewAs a Dental Assistant/RDA, you will play a key role in supporting our doctors and ensuring our patients have a positive experience at every visit. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and genuinely enjoys helping people. You'll be assisting during procedures, preparing exam rooms, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and supporting the front office as needed.
Duties
Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
Take and develop dental x-rays (must have valid X-ray certification)
Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
Greet and prepare patients for treatment in a friendly and professional manner
Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures
Support administrative tasks when necessary
Ensure infection control protocols are followed at all times
Skills
Proficient in dental terminology to facilitate effective communication within the practice.
Experience with dental receptionist duties, including appointment scheduling and patient management.
Familiarity with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable.
Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and X-ray procedures.
Understanding of medical coding related to dental procedures.
Strong assisting skills to support the dentist during treatments effectively.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a compassionate approach towards patients.
Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus, enhancing the ability to connect with younger patients.
Qualifications:
Dental Assistant Certificate or Registered Dental Assistant license (as applicable)
Valid X-ray Certification (required)
Knowledge of Dentrix (preferred)
Experience with iTero scanner (preferred but not required)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with dental terminology
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
