Dental Assistant - Avenue Dental - Algonquin, IL

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to safety protocols.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient visit.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the clinic.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient clinic operations.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, but we welcome candidates willing to learn.
Familiarity with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Epic is a plus.
Knowledge of medical terminology and medical documentation practices is essential.
Experience in pediatrics or prosthodontics is advantageous.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to work well under pressure in a busy dental clinic environment.
