Permanent Dental Assistant Job in St. Louis, MO
St. Louis Dental Studio is looking for a dedicated and skilled Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to enhance our dental team. As an EFDA, you will play a critical role in assisting with various dental procedures and ensuring our patients receive exceptional care. Experience with X-rays, 3D scanners, Dentrix, and dental restorations is essential. Ideal candidates should hold EFDA Restorative II certification.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Dentist: Support the dentist during a range of treatment procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for dental work, providing a comfortable and reassuring environment.
X-Ray Imaging: Take and process dental X-rays, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
Record Maintenance: Maintain and update accurate patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
Restorations: Place dental restorations, including fillings, crowns, and other necessary restorations with precision.
Clinic Maintenance: Ensure the dental clinic is well-stocked with necessary supplies and equipment, addressing inventory needs as required.
Office Tasks: Perform various office tasks and administrative duties as needed to support the smooth operation of the clinic.
Experience:
Required: EFDA Restorative I and II certifications.
Preferred: Previous experience in a dental assisting role, particularly in a busy clinical setting.
