Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice in August, 2025. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, ensuring optimal oral health for our patients. The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for performing preventative dental care, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and collaborating with the dental team to deliver exceptional service.
Duties
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess oral health.
Perform dental imaging procedures to capture detailed images of patients' teeth and gums.
Maintain accurate dental and medical records and documentation of patient treatments and care.
Review documentation for completeness and accuracy in accordance with practice standards.
Assist in medical coding for insurance claims and billing processes.
Measure and record vital signs as part of comprehensive patient assessments.
Utilize Dentrix software systems for managing patient information and scheduling.
Provide infection control measures to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Collaborate with dentists and other dental professionals to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
SkillsThe successful candidate should possess the following skills:
Proficiency in dental imaging techniques.
Strong knowledge of dental and medical records management.
Experience in documentation review processes.
Familiarity with dental coding practices.
Ability to accurately measure vital signs.
Competence in using dental systems, particularly Dentrix.
Understanding of infection control protocols within a clinical setting.
Excellent patient care skills with a focus on communication and education.
