Dental Hygienist - Signature Dentistry of Rockville Centre - Moriches, NY

Job SummaryHygienist PT/FT- We are a fee for service high end practice focusing on comprehensive care with an emphasis on Prosthodontics. We give our hygienist the time they need to be exceptional for our patients. We are looking for a special individual to come in as either a part time, (flexible based on your needs) or full time, (full time is 30 hours/week) to join our team. Duties

Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including children.
Utilize Dentrix software for managing patient records and scheduling appointments.
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Implement infection control procedures to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications

Valid dental hygiene license in the New York State
Experience working in a private care office is preferred
Proficiency with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software.
Strong knowledge of anatomy related to oral health and hygiene practices.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and assist colleagues when necessary.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $48.00 - $53.18 per hour
