Clinical Dental Hygienist - General Dentistry 409 - Chambersburg, PA

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our privately owned dental team. We are located Horsham, PA 19044. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care, focusing on patient education and preventive care. This is a great opportunity to grow not only as a hygienist, but also in a dental team setting in our solo general dental practice. This role requires a compassionate individual who is passionate about promoting oral health and ensuring a comfortable experience for patients of all ages, including children.
Duties

Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and periodontal therapy.
Conduct thorough examinations of patients’ oral health, including the assessment of gum health and the identification of any abnormalities.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Document patient care accurately in electronic health records using Dentrix software.
Review medical records and vital signs to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a child-friendly environment.
Maintain aseptic technique during all procedures to ensure patient safety.
Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.

Experience

Previous experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry is preferred.
Strong knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental hygiene practices.
Familiarity with documentation review processes and medical records management.
Proficiency in using dental software systems, particularly Dentrix, is an advantage.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also demonstrating independent problem-solving skills.

Work setting is 4 days a week, Monday through Thursday, no Friday or weekend hours. This includes 2 evenings, Monday and Wednesday. Please see our website " dentist409.com " for full office information.
