Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental clinic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care and education to patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding of oral health practices. As a vital member of our team, you will work closely with dentists and other staff to deliver exceptional patient experiences.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and periodontal therapy.
Take and develop dental x-rays.
Assess and record patients' medical histories, including vital signs.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Work closely with the dentist to identify and discuss treatment options.
Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Assist in charting and maintaining patient records.
Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment options and follow-up care.
Stay up-to-date with dental hygiene advancements and best practices.
Qualifications
Valid dental hygiene license in Texas
At least one year of experience
Strong understanding of dental terminology, tools and equipment
Experience with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Fuse
Excellent communication and patient care skills.
Detail-oriented and organized.
Must be available to work two days per week, with flexible scheduling options.
