OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of our dental office while providing exceptional care to our patients. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available.
Take medical imaging, including X-rays, as directed by the dentist.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed.
Monitor vital signs of patients before procedures.
Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Support pediatric patients with their dental needs, ensuring they feel comfortable during visits.
Skills
Proficiency in medical imaging techniques, including X-ray procedures.
Knowledge of dental terminology and infection control practices.
Familiarity with endodontics and pediatric dentistry is preferred.
Ability to take vital signs accurately and efficiently.
Experience with medical records management and understanding of HIPAA compliance.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and team members.
