Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area by sterilizing instruments and managing supplies.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (Epic) and maintain medical documentation.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient follow-ups to ensure optimal clinic operations.
Support pediatric patients with a compassionate approach to create a comfortable environment.
Stay updated on advancements in dental practices, including prosthodontics and other relevant areas.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting.
Proficiency in dental terminology and familiarity with various dental systems.
Experience with X-ray technology is preferred; certification may be required.
Knowledge of prosthodontics is an advantage but not mandatory.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate medical documentation.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
