Duties
Assist the dentist during examinations and various dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical documentation and medical coding.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care.
Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling visits.
Utilize dental technology such as 3D scanners to assist in treatment planning.
Support pediatric dentistry by creating a welcoming environment for young patients.
Demonstrate proficiency in four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
Knowledge of anatomy related to dental health is essential.
Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and equipment is advantageous.
Strong understanding of infection control standards and practices is required.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred but not mandatory.
