OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our newly opened dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office while providing exceptional care to our patients. Duties

Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are readily available.
Perform medical imaging and X-ray tasks as required, adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate medical records and patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked.
Provide support in pediatric dentistry by making young patients feel comfortable and engaged during their visits.
Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently, acting as a dental receptionist when needed.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient experience and streamline office operations.

Experience

Previous experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred.
Familiarity with dental software Dentrix is advantageous.
Knowledge of general dentistry practices, anatomy, and pediatric dentistry is beneficial.
Understanding of medical records management and HIPAA compliance is essential.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members.
Must be x-ray certified.
