Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Take and develop X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information in Dentrix software.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Monitor vital signs as needed before procedures.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
Support pediatric patients by providing compassionate care tailored to their needs.
Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.

Skills

Proficient in dental assisting techniques with a strong understanding of general dentistry practices.
Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dental care, including familiarity with pediatric dentistry.
Experience with infection control measures to ensure a safe clinical environment.
Familiarity with Dentrix software for managing medical records efficiently.
Ability to take X-rays accurately while following safety guidelines.
Competence in monitoring vital signs and recognizing any potential health concerns in patients.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Pay: $19.33 - $20.30 per hour
